Poetry and Existential Thought
REFLECTIONS is a collection of poems and writings by Raul Treviño, exploring the depths of human emotions and existential themes. Poetically in Search of Identity
These poems were written between the ages of 18 and 29 and are very much in the mode of a young person, a budding poet and philosopher struggling to build an identity as an individual while fully engrossed in the artistic experience and writing about that as well as universal human themes.
Stories Behind the Work
I'll be adding the stories behind the poems in the gallery, although I am not pleased with myself for demystifying art. I will admit a narcissistic fear of being misinterpreted, and while I fully expect readers to have their own interpretation and experience when they read, it might be fun to see how it aligns with the inspiration.
