A poet, philosopher, and outlaw in disguise, turning dual identity into raw, uncompromising rock.

Lito James, a.k.a. The outlaw Lito James is a fictional mythical character. Lito came into the world in South Texas. He is a free spirit and widely misunderstood—or not understood at all. There is another book yet to be written about his life and times—“Outlaw.”
Lito happens to be a poet, philosopher, and musician. He has inhabited the coastal region of Texas from South Padre Island to Corpus Christi and operates incognito out of Austin. The Lito James Project is a concept for a band in which personnel are not strictly defined. For example, the album was recorded and performed by Raul Trevino & Rick Del Castillo, but the performing version can be Raul and any lineup of musicians. Additionally, the project enables the band performances to feature songs by those in the band.
The album is comprised of a dozen original rock songs. It's a debut album and a greatest hits at the same time. The songs were written between 1990 and 2017. I say greatest hits because my producer, Rick Del Castillo, selected these twelve out of twenty or so I had chosen from my modest portfolio. Each song has a story, and I'll add them here as I can. I'll also talk just a bit about the dual identity and album concepts.
